Life is Such a Precious Gift

February 2, 2017

definitely feeling the pressure of TIME… No more time to waste! gotta do it NOW!!!

Words of Wisdom

Excerpt from The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within:

Tae Yun KimDr. Tae Yun Kim writes:  Life is such a precious gift.  But we tend to treat every day as though life is never going to end, like we have an unlimited amount of time to find the happiness we want.  As a result, instead of challenging our fears right now, we go on day after day, year after year, making excuses for our failure to accomplish our true desires.  Good intentions don’t seem to be enough to make big changes in your life.  All you have to do is think about all the New Year’s resolutions you’ve made in the past, and you realize how good intentions alone aren’t sufficient to introduce changes.  Making real and lasting changes requires that you make a commitment and take constructive action!

Unfortunately, we tend to get comfortable with our fears and limitations.  Think about…

Be Determined to Be Determined!

January 27, 2017

Do you set goals every year, New Year Resolutions…that you forget by March, April…?

Life just gets so busy that it is easy to just slide by and start focusing on other things. I know that happens to me a lot!

Well, Dr. Tae Yun Kim writes in her book, Seven Steps to Inner Power, about determination:

Unswerving determination is one of the most important factors in reaching your goal, in reaching any goal. Only you can make your determination work for you. And if you use it, your determination will attract to you all the other factors needed for your success – the right associates, the right information, being in the right place at the right time, and so on. Determine now to value determination!  pg. 32

That’s it! Unswerving determination!

Sounds easy… just check it out!  One thing my teacher Dr. Tae Yun Kim shares is that in order to BE successful, you must PRACTICE YOUR SUCCESS!

That means, just do it…and do it again and again…

Practice being determined by picking 1 thing that you want to do…and go do it. Don’t let anything stand in your way!

Once you achieve this…then do it again!  Pretty soon, you will reach all your goals!

Can’t hurt to try!  I’m going to do it! Yahoo!

Freedom is Your Birthright, continued

Thanks for sharing #taeyunkim #wisdom and #inspiration!

Words of Wisdom

Dr. Tae Yun Kim writes about Freedom is Your Birthright, in her 2nd book, The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within~

Tae Yun Kim

Ask yourself these questions:  Have the past five years of your life brought you what you want out of life?  Were you focused on a goal and going somewhere special?  Or were you just drifting, only to find out today, five years later, that your time was mostly wasted?

Tae Yun Kim

Maybe you’ve never asked this question before, so you might reply without thinking, “I guess I have what I want.”  Or, maybe you know right now your answer is, “Are you kidding?  No way!”  Think about it and ask yourself now.  Are you really excited about getting up every morning?  Do you have a career that fulfills you?  Do you have love in your life?  Do you have a warm and peaceful feeling inside that makes you glad…

“I Can’t Usually Means I Won’t”

January 26, 2017

I can relate too! Fears can become overwhelming if I let them!

Self Discovery as a Jung Su Won Warrior

In “The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within” Author “Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim” shares the following story.   This is one of my favorites as I am reminded daily in my life that “He Can Do, She Can Do, Why Not Me” and this story really speaks to me about the power of my thoughts, my attitude.

Page 35: ” Realize that I Can’t usually means I won’t”

“All of us, at some time or another,  have felt the limiting power of ” I can’t.” Even when we really want something, and even if that something is within our power, those two simple words can prevent it from happening. When you find yourself saying ” I can’t,” look deeper to see if you’re making another excuse. If you look honestly, you will usually find that your words “I can’t” actually mean “I could, but I won’t for this…

Healthy Foods Inspired by Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim

I seriuosly can’t wait until Dr. Tae Yun Kim‘s cook book comes out!  It’s not going to be just a cook book, but will go into detail about all the health benefits of recipes and food preparation methods.

When the weather is cold and rainy, and you want hot and satisfying food, yet you don’t really feel like having another bowls of soup or stew for a while – well, then this will certainly make you happy.  These are great with dinner, as snacks, when you watch TV, or have any gathering – you can make them as small pieces for snacks, or leave the hot dogs hole and serve for dinner, with a nice big salad.

Dr. Tae Yun Kim came up with this tasty and crispy and absolutely delicious version of hot dogs in a blanket.

She started out with yeast dough, gluten-free, consisting of 1/2 almond…

Lessons from a Great Grandmaster

January 6, 2017

I have Great Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim‘s book, The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within, and it is a very powerful book.

I just decided to open it and see what page appeared…and here is what came up:

page 100

“Clinging to a good picture you have created possibly keeps you from expanding into an even greater good. Clinging to a disagreeable picture keeps you there! So, don’t hold onto either as though it’s the final story. You don’t hate, resent, fight, or quarrel with an undesirable situation, and you don’t overly love or cling to a desirable situation. Detachment means you are always ready, open and willing to experience change. That is how you develop. You can’t develop and grow if you hold on tightly to something you’ve acquired no matter how good you think it is.”

Wow. Powerful, for me in my life right now.

It is so easy to become complacent…to be lazy…to just accept “the way things are”.

But is that the healthiest way to live?

We can’t grow if we are always staying within the status quo. Change is uncomfortable, but when we achieve greater things in our lives because of change, isn’t that a good thing?

I know that I want to achieve greater things in MY life… so here I go!  Down the path that is less traveled…the one that looks more winding, more rocky, more challenging…Because I want to claim my success!

Thank you Great Grandmaster Kim for sharing your wisdom in this powerful book!

The Power of Hummingbirds

Tae Yun Kim's Wisdom as shown through animals

Hummingbirds are amazing creatures.  They are very beautiful, very wise, strong, resourceful.  In fact, it’s quite mind-blowing how these tiny little creatures are so powerful, and go through the day with such purpose and determination!

They remind me of something I just read in Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim‘s book “The First Element.”

“A tiny bird unborn bird pecks away at his shell hundreds of times for no other reason than to be born!  For no other reason than to be who he is.  He follows the life-force as far as his purpose directs.” (The First Element, page 137)

How beautiful!  I am striving to be just like such a little bird, to fulfill my purpose!

But Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim takes this way further.

“But you!  You are born with so much more capability than this little bird.  If you are not living your life with the…

Kicking Off the New Year 2017

January 4, 2017

it was an awesome class! My body feels ALIVE! Jung SU!

The Art of Jung SuWon

Welcome to the New Year 2017. This is a time where everybody begins to think about their plans and goals for this year. It is also a time to reflect on the previous year to see what goals were accomplished. Did I achieve the goals I set out to achieve? Did I improve on the different areas I wanted to improve?

At Jung SuWon Martial Arts Academy, we began the new year with a kick-off class for 2017. All of the students of all ages and belt ranks gathered to practice and work out together. It was a class of unity and working together. Overall, it was a high energy class with positivity surrounding the training floor.

Everyone had the opportunity to regain their flexibility and wake up different muscles of the body that were dormant during the holiday break. School will be back in session and the schedule will…

Nature’s Beauty – Living Meditation

December 29, 2016

I love nature…there is a beauty that is peaceful to observe and just take in. My life tends to be quite hectic and busy. Life rushes around as if knowing that time is short. Sometimes I have so many things going on that it’s hard to just take a moment to be quiet.

Dr. Tae Yun Kim teaches about the importance of Meditation and quieting the mind. Meditation doesn’t have to be sitting in a dark room with music playing and a candle flickering.  It can be, but doesn’t have to be. Dr. Tae Yun Kim talks about moving meditation and walking meditation.

Whenever I get a chance to be in God’s nature, I love just walking and seeing all the beauty around me. It could be a drop of dew on a rose petal, or a rock positioned just right in a flowing creek…

I just need 5 minutes to breathe slowly and watch the beauty that God has provided and this becomes a peaceful meditation for me.

If I had more time, I’d show you more of my photos, but I guess that will have to wait until my next “moment”…the rush of life is calling me back!

Have a wonderful day!

Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s way of preparing healthy beef

December 29, 2016

Healthy Foods Inspired by Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim

Even though I might have written about this before, this is such an important topic these days, and Dr. Tae Yun Kim has emphasized how crucial it is to eat the purest food possible.

ezgif-com-optimize-2

Doesn’t this look good?  Unless you are a vegetarian, there is a good chance you enjoy beef ribs.

In today’s world, there is so much contamination – air pollution, soil solution, water contamination all contribute to making our food supply less and less healthy.

In addition, the majority of our cattle and poultry and even pigs are kept in very close quarters, the feed lots where they can hardly move and typically stand in their own urine and feces.   To avoid diseases and malnutrition, and fast growth, the animals receive a lot of antibiotics, hormones and other chemicals.  These chemicals will go right into our bodies when we eat that meat.

You can still enjoy…
